The Yellow King

With the arrival of the trailer of the green knight, in a secret chamber of my heart, my love for the Cthulhu mythos ignited. Though the presence of the yellow king in this movie is as vaguely implemented as in the first season of True Detective, where the king in yellow wasn’t as glorified as it should be. And my attempt on this malignant entity will probably be as poor as my writing, but I will certainly try. Brace your heart, because it’s not a fairy tale. Horror and cult stand ahead.

Hastur, The King in Yellow, Lord Hastur, The Unspeakable One, H’aaztre, Him Who Is Not to Be Named, Kaiwan, Assatur, Sadagowah, The Feaster from Afar, The Lord of Interstellar Spaces, The Peacock King, Zukala-Koth, Johannes Van Der Berg, Hastur the Unspeakable, The Unspeakable, Fenric… These are the names by which, as H.P Lovecraft would put, the great old one is known. It is the spawn of Yog-Sothoth. “It” because it is unclear if Lovecraft’s Hastur is a person, a place, an object (such as the Yellow Sign), or a deity (this ambiguity is recurrent in Lovecraft’s descriptions of the mythic entities).
